French Horse Export

French Horse Exports over the past 7 years has had many sold horses go on to encounter great success in the show ring in the USA, as well as the world. Here are a couple of special ones that we have sold:

Aymar de la Rose - 9 yo SF gelding by Miami de Semilly

Aymar de la Rose

Aymar & Darian Smith. PC - Jess Casino Photography

Aymar was purchased as a 4 yo in 2014, with the hopes of moving him up to the Children's Hunters by Darian Smith who trains with Lindsay Langan. It was that year in Ocala that they figured out he was quite the jumper! Darian and Aymar started out in the Low Child/Adult Jumpers, where they started winning consistently. The pair then moved up to the High Child/Adult Jumpers where they won up and down the east coast, which qualified them for Devon 2019.

Along the road to qualifying, Darian and Aymar competed at the USHJA Zone 2 jumper finals, held in Princeton, and had 3 fault-free rounds over the course of the weekend clenching the individual win and earning a “USHA gold star rider” title for 2018 and a spot in the USHJA Emerging Athletes Clinic program. Aymar holds a very special spot in our heart at French Horse Exports as he was one of the very early investment horses we purchased and trained in France before sending him to the United States to be sold.

Ciao Bello - 7 yo SF gelding by Ensor Van de Heffinck

Ciao Bello

Ciao Bello & Mia Lanno. PC - DigiShots

Ciao Bello was purchased in October 2018 by Mia Lanno in Estonia. Mia’s goals were set on qualifying for the European children’s championships and her journey started in February 2019 where, with the help of Ciao, they got through a clear round at 1m. The couple moved up to 1.20m in March and in April were ready for their first 1.25m class. Finally, in May of 2019, the pair jumped 1.30m at their first CSI1* Grand Prix course in Lithuania. Ciao and Mia represented the National Estonian Equestrian Team while competing among the rest of the European best riders at Children class competitions in Zuidwolde arena on July 9th, 2019. The two gained valuable experience during this competition and plan on coming back for in two years for the junior’s European Championship with their eyes on the first-place ribbon.

Award Semilly was purchased in 2018 by Amanda Ambrose who trains with Nicole Dicorti Bush in Gilroy, California.  Amanda was able to get back in the jumper ring thanks to Award and moved up to the 1.10m’s in 2019. The pair was Champion both weeks in the AA 1.10m division at Woodside in 2019 as well as the Bay Area Summer Festival. The two were also Reserve Champion in the AA 1.10m division recently at the Oregon High Desert Classic in Bend.
