What a perfect gentleman!! Contador is an 11year old Zangersheid Gelding. He is an AA/ JR/YR superstar! He is the perfect combination of kind, willing and sound.
The ultimate work ethic, temperament, and very comfortable gates. He recently took up dressage as he really has a knack for it, and has begun schooling the PSG. Super lateral work and easy to collect.
He recently went to his first dressage show at the 3rd and 4th level and is the exact same horse both at home and at shows. He is incredibly brave with no spook, buck, or bolt and loves to go out on the trails. He is straightforward and uncomplicated to ride, sweet and affectionate on the ground, and loves his people. Stands for the farrier, vet, and clipping. Recent and clean x-rays and vet checks are available.
He began his career as a jumper, with a show record competitively up to 1.40m in Europe, and only transitioned to dressage as he really seems to enjoy the work. For this reason, he could also make a wonderful horse for someone looking to dip their toe in both rings - but don’t be fooled, he is as soft and supple to ride as they come.
Contador is a pleasure to work with in every way. He is a wonderful horse for any rider looking to gain confidence both in and out of the show ring, or even on the trails. He has no health or soundness issues and no vices.
