‘Waffle’ is a 13yo, 17.3h, Belgian gelding who we imported to do the Big Eq. A testimony to his kind nature, within months of being in the US, he qualified Jake for the Maclay and he gamely jumped around Medal Finals at Harrisburg. Since then, Waffle has competed with Jake up to the1.40m. He’s a barn favorite with his adorable personality and he has happily packed beginners around their first jumps at home and is the horse that anyone would want to ride for their first big jumps. He loves being a teacher and he’s suitable for any job in the jumper ring. He hacks out politely and is an honest, scopey doer. He is happier doing the jumper job than the Eq gig, but yes, he will do both rings.
