Lazara
It is with GREAT hesitation that we list this one for sale, and if it wasn't for me being pregnant, we wouldn't even be considering it.
Lazara is an extremely well-mannered, born broke, adorable mare. She has been one of the most simple young horses I have had the pleasure of working with. Pull out of the field and get right on, even as a 3 and 4 year old.
She came with us to California/Arizona this year as a very last minute decision, straight out of the field (9 months since her previous ride). She hauled down like a dream, stood better than most broke horses while getting shod day one and body clipped day 2. My cowboy husband rode her for 2 days and then I rode her for the rest of the circuit (pregnant, I may add-- which wasn't the plan but she was so well behaved and I enjoyed her too much to put her on anyone else's ride list). She was extremely trustworthy and so much fun to work with.
She has not been trained on lead changes yet but she throws them in occasionally on course. She jumped around without any hesitation at 2'3-2'6 (over filled flower jumps and boxes), and understood her lateral movements right away. Perfect on the trails and hacked out lots on the track in California (by herself and with others).
She has been back in the field since we returned to Canada as we feel she did more than enough for her age, but can be ready for a trial on a couple days notice.
X-rays completed upon purchase in late fall of 2020. Nothing to note!
