<p>Debbi Long has been an avid equestrian since she was 4 years old, growing up in the Pasadena, California area with horses in her backyard competing on the local Los Angeles circuit. The college years include a degree in Early Childhood Education and an Elementary Teaching Certificate from Oklahoma State University. Later equestrian opportunities include working for Rudy Leone, Dusty Blackwood, and Patty Ball in California.
In 1990, Long Farms relocated to Horseshoe Bend, Idaho, to further the training and development of young horses. In 2001, Long Farms began importing talented Warmbloods from Chile through Christian Santis ( competed successfully at the 2010 World Equestrian Games in Kentucky) and Maurcio Benevente ( an international Natural Horsemanship clinician). Winter are spent in where it is warm to continue competing and developing the young horses. The Long Farms riding team has expanded to include granddaughter Rachel Long as a young professional. It is a family affair!
2021 included being awarded the USEF Devereux Sportsmanship Award, quite an honor!!
