Laura grew up in the central valley of California under the tutelage of her mother Jen Hannink. Riding and showing started at a very early age and has continued through the years of college and beyond. Laura rode for import horse sales of David Hopper inc. receiving horses from Europe and developing them under the scrutiny of David Hopper prior to returning to California and joining Jen in developing an upper level show jumping barn at Portuguese Bend Riding Club in Rancho Palos Verdes, Ca. Here she handles the training and instruction program for young riders and horses who are destined for the show ring. After nine years at Portuguese Bend Riding Club, Laura has moved back north to Hannink Equine Center. There Laura and Jen plan on continuing training and offering horses for lease and for sale.
