Mickie has had a lifetime of experience with Hunters, Jumpers, Equitation and Ponies with a proven record both inside and outside the show ring. She grew up on a Thoroughbred-breeding farm in New Hope, Pennsylvania and began catch riding for many professionals on the East Coast, at the age of 9, as catch all junior rider and later as a professional. She continued as professional rider and trainer once out of the junior ranks with 43 years in the business and 27 years professional experience. Mickie has been fortunate enough to have been taught by and have worked for some of the best in the business before starting her own business in 1998. She has shown horses and coached students at some of the most prestigious horse shows and winter circuits including; FEI World Cup Qualifiers, WEF, HITS Thermal, HITS Arizona, HITS Ocala, Devon, Capitol Challange, the Pennsylvania National, the Washington International, USHJA International Derby Finals, Pre Green Incentive Finals, USEF Pony Finals, USEF Medal Finals, USET Finals and ASPCA Maclay Finals to name a few. As well as qualifying these horses, riders and competing at these shows, she has also ridden and trained many World Champion Hunter rider, National, Zone and State Champions in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, California and Colorado.

Mickie is a USHJA Certified Trainer. She is a graduate from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa, with a B.A. in Film, Media and the Arts and was on the Bucks County Community College, Newtown, Pa, IHSA Equestrain Team, competing in the IHSA National Finals 1991 and 1992.
