Kalibra is a tall black mare with an enormous amount of scope. She’s very intelligent and easy going. She learns fast and is safe & forgiving. She is a brave horse that doesn’t spook and just does her job.
Kalibra’s damline is one of the special ones. Kalibra’s dam Joanna is the half sister to the Grand Prix horses Hanna van HD and Dixson, the 1m55 jumping Faraday and the 1m40 jumping Scanna. The great-granddam gave the 1m60 horses Millar and Candy with whom Pieter Devos won the Spruce Meadows Masters of Calgary. Kalibra is also related to Ian Miller’s Big Ben.
Kalibra is sired by the legendary stallion Kannan ridden on 1m60 level by Michel Hecart. He contributed to many international Grand Prix jumpers such as Nino des Buissonnets, Molly Mallone and Quabri de l’Isle. Her damsire is another one of those legendary breeding stallions namely Diarado. He is a very popular breeding stallion across Europe with offspring like Don Diarado, Eldorado S en Diablo Z.
Kalibra is a very easy horse to handle with the right mindset.
