Princess

Princess is a lovely young mare ready to start her show career! She has had a full year of downtime from the race track where she had only 6 starts and retired sound with no desire to run further. She has spent the past year as a barn project horse. Being pulled out to work on lunging, ground work, in hand as well as ridden by Jr riders excited to learn the stages of retraining a young OTTB. She is lovely in the barn with great manners and respect for her handler. She stands well in the cross ties, clips like a dream and perfect for the farrier. Barefoot with sound clean legs shes a perfect candidate for that next level. Under saddle she is still very green and as a powerful mare requires a confident and patient  rider. She has lovely uphill forward movement that when directed correctly is stunning. Easy jumper with good form and scope, brave but needs confidence. Has easily free jumped 1.20 and been to local schooling shows playing in the .75 jumpers. Recently she has had the winter off and is slowly getting back into work. Flat video is from her first under saddle work of 2024, over fences is from fall 2023. Training will continue and we are in no hurry to move this girl along, looking for the right fit to bring out her full potential.
