Prominent Hunter and Equitation barn  is looking for someone to join our team as an Assistant Trainer.

Our ideal candidate has:

*Solid Hunter/Jumper background

*Good horsemanship skills

*Experience teaching beginners through advanced (willing to train the right person)

*US Citizen

We are looking for someone that’s passionate about horses, a self-starter, hardworking, reliable and must have good communication skills.

Applicant must have a strong H/J background and have a good understanding of correct Equitation. Duties include teaching beginner through intermediate lessons, assisting trainer with the day-to-day management/riding of the training horses, managing and riding horses in the rehab program; riding client horses and teaching lessons while trainer is away at shows. Includes taking clients to local shows once per month, as well as helping trainer with show clients at larger horse shows. Some opportunities for showing with room in the future for advancement. This is a full-time position and primarily a stay at home job, would possibly consider part time for the right person. Must have references, reasonable salary, housing and utilities included, additionally there is possibility to have your own horse and potential for commissions on sales of horses.
