Bryna Clossonbrynaclosson

Bryna Closson grew up in the Flathead Valley of northwest Montana and began riding at the age of 5. At the age of 10, she and her dad, Sutton Finch, began taking jumping lessons together, and learned early on that discipline and hard work were key to success in the sport. Bryna rode in her first Grand Prix at Spruce Meadows at the age of 17 and placed 2nd. As a junior rider, Bryna was the recipient of the Desmond G. Griffin Memorial Scholarship at Spruce Meadows awarded to a junior rider displaying good horsemanship and sportsmanship. Bryna has had many top 10 finishes in national level grand prixes and World Cup Qualifiers. Bryna began training with Rich Fellers at the age of 15 and eventually moved to Oregon to ride with him while completing a degree in Writing and Literature from George Fox University. After completing college, Bryna moved back to Montana, and with her parents, built Larkspur Farm, a 24-stall show jumping training facility. Today, Bryna continues to get coaching from Rich Fellers and George Morris.
