Desiderata M (“Sid”) is a 2015 Hanoverian filly with a fabulous pedigree, excellent conformation, and willing personality. She is progressing nicely in her dressage training and is an enthusiastic and talented pupil. Her potential for high level dressage is evident in her stellar pedigree. Sire Dacaprio is an excellent cross with the Hanoverian W line. Sid’s damsire Wolkenstein II is also the damsire of the Olympic dressage sensation Desperados FRH, who won medals in the 2012 London Olympics, 2013 and 2015 European Championships, 2014 World Equestrian Games, and 2016 Rio Olympics. And talent for jumping is also in Sid’s genes.

Desiderata M is branded and has full papers from the American Hanoverian Society. She has lifetime registration with the USEF.

Sire: Elite Hanoverian stallion Dacaprio (Davignon-Caprimond) possesses superior elasticity, impulsion, and rideability. He is known for passing his elegant conformation, outstanding gaits, and jumping ability to his offspring. He received stallion licensing scores of 8 or higher in the categories of character, temperament, willingness to work, ability to work, walk, trot, canter, and in free-jumping. While best known as a dressage sire, Dacaprio also has successful offspring competing as hunters, jumpers, and eventers. He has produced 3 licensed sons and more than 20 States Premium candidate mares.

Dam: Elite Mare Winesse BC (Wolkenstein II-Leibwaechter) was imported from Germany as a 2-year-old. She spent her career as a broodmare, producing many fine Hanoverian foals with Sid being the last in this line. “Nessie” was a barn favorite known for her gentle demeanor. Her sire, Wolkenstein II, one of the best sons of Weltmeyer, had outstanding dressage and jumping ability. He was known for his excellent character and commanding presence.

Desiderata means “desired things” in Latin, and Sid is exactly that. She is progressing well under saddle and is an enthusiastic student. Sid is well-mannered and a quick learner. Her pedigree is stacked with generations of fabulous Grand Prix dressage horses, but Sid also has jumping talent in her genes. She is ready to demonstrate her abilities in any of a number of directions.
